Online Scholarship Applications Now Ready

The 2012-2013 Scholarship application is now available – online! You must have a Sierra College student ID number to apply for scholarships. Please log into your mySierra account and go to the Financial Aid tab. You will see a link under the Scholarship channel.

You will need to have 2 email addresses for those who will be able to support your recommendation for a scholarship. Once you enter their email addresses an email will be generated to your recommender to answer a few short questions. We suggest you provide an email address for an instructor and an employer.

You will be able to see all the scholarships we offer, but the great thing is you only need to complete one application and the software will tell which scholarships you qualify for.

Deadline to submit the application will be: February 20, 2012 – 11:59 p.m.

More Scholarship Information:

Additional scholarship information may be found on the Scholarship Board in the Winstead Center or from the Financial Aid Office on the Rocklin and Nevada County campuses. Information is updated on a continuous basis throughout the school year. Interested applicants may request copies of scholarship applications from the Financial Aid Office on either campus.

Students should also search for scholarships on the Internet using the following web sites. These web sites list thousands of scholarships, fellowships, and grants and are free of cost. A student can set up a mailbox and check it periodically for information regarding new awards and updates.

Download a free copy of The Big Book of College Scholarship and Financial Aid Information. This book is updated on an ongoing basis and is provided free to students by the non-profit International Society for Applied Education.
