Whether you're a first-time college student, a transfer student, are returning to school after one or more semesters, or are taking classes to upgrade your job skills, Sierra College can help you achieve your goals. In addition, we offer special part-time admission to High School students.

Our flexible educational programs are designed to fit your lifestyle - you choose the schedule that works best for you. Part-time or full-time; daytime, evenings or weekends; semester long, short-term or fast-track courses.

Admissions to Sierra College is open to any person who:

  • Has a high school diploma, GED, or has passed the high school proficiency examination, or
  • Is 18 years of age or older and capable from profiting from instruction.

Definitions

New or first time student
First time college student or first time at Sierra. May have attended or graduated from another college or university.
Transfer student
Transferring to Sierra from another college.
Continuing student
If you were enrolled in at least one Sierra College credit course for the prior semester. You maintain this status even if you withdrew from college before the end of the semester. DO NOT reapply for Admission.
Returning student
If you have previously attended Sierra College, but have been away for one or more semesters.
High school student
If you are atleast 16 years of age & have completed the 10th grade.
International student
If you are from a country outside the United States, and would like to study at Sierra College.
